At the nursery
We are no longer open to the public, nor do we sell plants online. After twenty-three years, we have decided to concentrate more on Consultations and growing to order for Conservation Projects.
Thank you to all our loyal customers, for your support over the years. We will miss you! Of course, if you have baked a cake, then you are always welcome to visit. Just give us a call first, so we can put the kettle on.
We are a husband and wife team who have been running our small nursery for over twenty years. We love butterflies and have developed a plant list that will help to attract pollinators into your garden
The nursery is managed in an environmentally friendly way and we avoid nasty chemicals and sprays that would be detrimental to our healthy population of butterflies: 25 species have been identified. The diversity of wildlife at the nursery manages any pests: ladybirds for greenfly; thrushes, frogs, slow-worms and a friendly hedgehog eat slugs and snails.
Not everyone has the space or the desire for a wildflower meadow but we can advise you on how to incorporate ‘garden worthy natives’ into both traditional and contemporary border designs, creating both beautiful and wildlife friendly gardens.
With over 43 years involved in horticulture and gardening, we offer Consultations on all aspects of garden care
We are no longer in the R.H.S plant finder https://rhs.
BBC Gardeners' World films the nursery August 2016. See blog for more info
All our plants are propagated at the nursery with the emphasis on old fashioned ‘good doers’ and garden worthy natives.
We can offer one-off Solutions, bespoke planting plans or a complete garden design with our daughter Roxana.
